An open-source voice assistant that runs entirely offline on a Mac: wake word, speech-to-text, a local LLM, and text-to-speech, with no cloud APIs. Say “Hey Jarvis” and it can hold a conversation, remember context, and act on your behalf -- reading and writing files, running shell commands, opening apps -- with every state-changing action gated behind a confirmation.

Machine Sound Doctor

Phone-based predictive maintenance: call in, hold your phone near a running machine, and get an SMS back diagnosing a bearing fault or belt slip, built on Africa's Talking voice and SMS APIs plus an MFCC-based audio classifier.
